Black K, whose real name is Gnabo Gnahoré Okou Camille, was born in Agou, south-east Côte d'Ivoire, on December 21, 1993. He is the son of the famous Ivorian percussionist and singer Boni Gnahoré, one of the co-founders of Ki-Yi Mbock, an artistic training center created in 1985, where Black K grew up. He discovered a real aptitude for music as a child and embraced hip-hop as a teenager. Although he began by following in the footsteps of his role models, such as La Fouine, Booba, Garba 50 and Lil Wayne, he soon took his destiny into his own hands, forming the group Kiff No Beat with his cousin Elow'n. In 2020, after six studio albums, the group broke up and Black K resumed his solo career, which he had inaugurated on the bangs of Kiff No Beat's activities in 2012 with the EP L'Homme Étrange, Vol. 1. then continued with the episodic release of new tracks, such as "Treize " in 2016, "M'en fou" and "Elle veut dernier iphone " in 2017. In the heart of summer 2020, he released a single entitled "C'est l'argent" , then remained very present in the Ivorian rap scene with other tracks such as "Ok" in a duet with his cousin Elow'n in 2021, but also "Mauvais" or "Sadio Mané " in 2022 and "Dona Benja" in 2023.
