The German rapper B-Tight, also known as B!Tight, was born Robert Edward Davis on December 28, 1979 in Palm Springs, California. He grew up in Berlin, where he recorded his first tracks with his former roommate and rap colleague Sido under the name Royal TS. As part of the group Die Sekte, several cassette albums followed, as well as a solo cassette album called B-Tight. in 2001, he and Sido joined the newly founded label Aggro Berlin, where he released the EP Der Neger (in mir) in 2002. On August 8, 2005, he released the mixtape Heisse Ware, a joint project with rapper Tony D. The album Neger Neger became his first commercial album in 2007, reaching number 6 in the German album charts. After his LP Goldständer (2008, number 36), B-Tight took a longer break until his next album, Drinne, was released in 2012. On January 9, 2015, the rapper released his fifth solo album Retro, which reached number 8 in the German charts. One year later, Born 2 B-Tight reached number 6. His seventh album Wer hat das Gras weggeraucht? was released in early February 2017 and reached number 3 in Germany and number 5 in Austria, while A.i.d.S. Royal reached the top of the German charts for the first time in 2018. B-Tight's ninth studio album Bobby Dick is released in 2020.
