Buena Fe are a pop duo comprising singer Israel Rojas Fiel and guitarist Yoel Martínez Rodríguez from Guantanamo in Cuba. Although pop in their sensibilities, Bueno Fe also hark back to the trova style of tradition ballideering. Making their debut in 1999 with the single 'Intimidad', they were rapidly signed by the government funded Association Hermanos Saíz before relocating to Havana to record their first album, 'Déjame Entrar in 2001. They then signed a recording deal with the Musicuba subsidiary of the government's EGREM (Empresa de Grabaciones y Ediciones Musicales) company and the core duo was augmented by other musicians including guitarists Yibrán Rivero, Adolfo Martínez and Dairon Rodríguez Lobaina as well as drummer Maikel Pérez, keyboardist Ernesto Cisneros, banjoist Israel López and percussionist David Hernández. The group continues to record and tour with their 'Sobreviviente' album debuting in 2017.
