Formed in New Jersey by vocalist/guitarist Jean Paul Makhlouf, keyboardist Alex Makhlouf, and bass player Samuel Frisch, Cash Cash is an electronic dance band that grew out of an early-2000s group called The Consequence. The group debuted under its new name in 2008 with the album Take It to the Floor, which was followed in 2011 by Love Or Lust. An EP titled Overtime arrived in 2013, reaching number 11 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart and finding international success with the single "Take Me Home," which reached number 5 on the UK Singles Chart and number 25 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart. Cash Cash's album Blood, Sweat & 3 Years (2016) peaked at number 3 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums Chart and featured three Top 40 hits on Dance/Electronic Songs chart, including "How to Love" and "Millionaire." The album itself went platinum in South Korea, and Cash Cash returned in 2021 with Say It Like You Feel It, which featured the American hit single "42." In 2023, the trio teamed up with 1980s hitmaker Taylor Dayne for a cover of "Tell It To My Heart," which debuted at number 38 on Billboard's Top 40 Radio Dance & Mix Show Songs chart.
