Multi-faceted Swedish pop star Cazzi Opeia was born Moa Anna Maria Carlebecker on November 10, 1988. As a teen she developed her songwriting and DJ skills, finally drawing attention when DJ Tiësto put a remix of her first single, 2010’s “I Belong to You”, on one of his albums. She released a series of singles in the first half of the 2010s including 2011’s Oxygen”, 2012’s “With You”, and 2014’s “Endless Flame”. She had a notable hit in 2017 collaborating with Jin X Jin on the pop confection “Batman & Robin”. That same year she issued “Wild Ones”, a solo single that showcased her versatility as it was a more serious, somber record that her work with Jin X Jin. The single was promoted with a stunt where the Swedish space program broadcast the song into the sky towards the constellation Cassiopeia, which was the inspiration for her stage name. At this time, her songs started appearing on albums by numerous other K-pop groups including Twice, Red Velvet, NCT Dream, and BTS. She put out another solo single in 2018 with “Rich”.
