Daisuke Namikawa is a Japanese musician, filmmaker, and voice-over actor. Born in Tokyo on April 2, 1976, he began his acting career as a child, contributing his voice to anime productions like 1986's Three Kingdoms II: Heroes Flying in the Sky and 1987's The Fifteenth Boy Drift. The voice-over work continued well into the 21st century, with Namikawa providing the Japanese dubbing for actors like Leonard DiCaprio and Elijah Wood. He also worked as a musician, debuting with the mini-album I.D. in 2010. Namikawa earned a pair of Top 40 hits with 2012's "UTAO" and 2013's "Jump Out Loud" before releasing his debut full-length album, Elements, in 2014. That same year, he formed the J-pop duo Uncle Bomb with Hiroyuki Yoshino. The group released a debut single, "Yeah Oh!!," in 2015, and Daisuke Namikawa continued to release additional music as a solo artist during the decade's second half. Songs like 2017's "My Treasure," 2018's "TRISING!," and 2019's "HIYAKE! Dancing" were all Top 40 hits. RUTS, his second full-length record, was released in 2021. Three years later, he reached number 20 on Japan's Top 100 Albums chart with his third album, Like It Like It.
