Nobuhiko Okamoto has turned success as a voice actor in hit anime shows into success as a singer in his own right. His career began in 2006 with voice acting roles in the television animations 'Ghost Hunt' and 'Mamotte! Lollipop' as well as the video game 'Granado Espada'. The work continued to come and in March 2009 he picked up a Seiyu Award for best rookie actor thanks to his portrayal of Accelerator in 'A Certain Magical Index', Shin Kanzato in 'Persona: Trinity Soul' and Ryuji Kuhoin in 'Kure-nai'. Another Seiyu Award followed in 2011, this time for best supporting actor. Over the course of his years performing as a voice actor Nobuhiko had put in turns as a vocalist on tracks for animes he had featured in, and in 2012 he stepped out from behind his various characters to become a performer and singer in his own right. His debut single, sung with Rumi Okubo, Hitomi Nabatame, Kaori Fukuhara, and Shintaro Asanuma, was 'Atchi de Kotchi de', a pop offering that ran as the opening theme on the anime 'Place to Place'. In May, Noguhiko's first EP, 'Palette', followed and placed at number nine on the Oricon chart, selling over six million copies. In 2014 he had another hit with the mini-album 'Parading', which peaked at number seven and in 2015 his mini-album 'Questory' reached number 15.
