Trained at the Maîtrise de la Haute-Bretagne, countertenor Damien Guillon continued his apprenticeship at Versailles (1998-2001), then at Basel's renowned Schola Cantorum with Andreas Scholl (2004). The Breton singer then embarked on a highly acclaimed career as a soloist, both on stage and on disc. His performances include Pergolesi's Stabat Mater , Motets by Bach, Lully and Lalande, and lesser-known works by Claude Lejeune and Nicolas Formé. His performances of Bach's Cantatas in 2009 with Françoise Lasserre and in 2012 with Le Banquet Céleste have been acclaimed by the critics.
