Danielle de Niese

Spotted as a child at singing competitions, Australian Danielle de Niese embarked on a career in the USA, where she became a singer at the age of 15, first with the Los Angeles Opera, then with New York's famous Metropolitan Opera. Since 1998, with a role in The Marriage of Figaro, the young favorite has been making a name for herself on the international stage, particularly in the Baroque repertoire, performing Monteverdi(The Coronation of Poppea), Handel(Julius Caesar) and Rameau(Les Indes Galantes). On the recording front, Danielle de Niese is at her best in Handel(Arias) and Mozart(The Mozart Album). The Diva recital (2010) is followed by a splendid Beauty of the Baroque (2011).
