Danitsa

Danitsa, born in Paris, is a singer, producer and songwriter of Franco-Swiss origin. From the age of 10, Danitsa was singing her father's compositions. Under the stage name Skankytone, he passed on to her his love of Jamaica, a country she would visit several times over the years. Thanks to her mother, she discovered soul, funk and hip-hop. It was at the intersection of these influences that she blossomed as an artist, blending the reggae of John Holt and Horace Andy with the soul of Curtis Mayfield, Queen Latifah and Erykah Badu. Her debut album, Ego7, was released in 2017 by Evidence, propelling her onto the European music scene, including Switzerland, France, Spain and Holland, with a tour of over 100 concerts. She was also awarded Best Act Romandie at the 2018 Swiss Music Awards. Her second album, entitled Sycle, was produced in Los Angeles and recorded in 2020. It was released on November 25, 2021, and earned her the Best Act Romandie award again at the Swiss Music Awards in 2022.
