D-Crunch, a South Korean idol group formed by All-S Company in Seoul, made their debut in 2018 with nine members including rappers Hyunho, O.V, Minhyuk, Chanyoung, Jungseung, and Dylan, alongside vocalists Hyunwook, Hyunoh, and Hyunwoo. After a year of training, they released the track "Palace" alongside single album 0806 on August 8, 2018, which peaked at number 46 on the Korean charts. Following this, their first mini-album M1112 (4colors) dropped on November 12, reaching number 39 on the charts. Gaining recognition after winning the Focus Award at the 2018 Asia Artist Awards shortly after debuting, in 2019, the group excelled in the 2019 K-pop Dream Star Audition in Japan, securing the Grand Prix award in March. They released their second mini-album M0527 and the single "Are You Ready?" on May 27, receiving the Rising Star Award at the 2019 Asia Model Awards, and making their debut in Japan with a Japanese version of the song shortly after. Moving to the Ai Grand Korea agency in early 2020, the group faced setbacks as Hyunwoo left due to a back injury in September. Continuing as an eight-member group, they released Across the Universe in October, peaking at number 44 with Hyunwoo eventually departing by the year-end due to his injury.Their fourth mini-album Daydream and its lead single "My Name" came out on April 6, 2021, with Minhyuk departing the group shortly after. Despite losing two members, D-Crunch released their second single album Addiction, on March 25, 2022, peaking at number 88. However, in October, Dylan left the group due to mental health concerns, leading to the band announcing their disbandment in November of the same year.
