Die Firma is a hip-hop collective from Cologne, Germany. Formed in 1996 by Alexander "Tatwaffe" Trabhoven, Ben "Def Benski Obiwahn" Hartung, and Daniel "Fader Gladiator" Sluga, the group made its official debut in 1998 with Spiel des Lebens/Spiel des Toten, a critically acclaimed album that was also a commercial success in German-speaking countries. Their sophomore effort, 1999's Das 2. Kapitel cracked the Top 10 of the German Albums Chart and sold over 80,000 copies, establishing them as a major force in the local rap scene. More success followed with Das dritte Auge (2002) and Krieg und Frieden (2005), whose lead single "Die Eine 2005" went to Number 2 on the domestic charts. After releasing the albums Goldene Zeiten (2007) and Das sechste Kapitel (2010), Tatwaffe went on to form the side project TNT with Cologne rapper Tami.
