Dutch musician Dinand Woesthoff, born Marco Frank Ferdinand Woesthoff on September 6, 1972, became famous as the co-founder and frontman for the band Kane. Early in the band’s existence, Woesthoff married actress Guusje Nederhost, but she died shortly afterward from breast cancer. He wed Lucy Hopkins in 2009. Kane had a successful fifteen-year run in which all seven of their albums landed in the top 3 and three of them hit number 1. Kane disbanded in 2014. Woesthoff issued “Legendary Lane”, his first solo single, at the time of the band’s demise, but it would be six years until he released new work. Although he was unsure if he should put out material during the COVID-19 pandemic, Woesthoff issued the gentle yet soaring ballad “Whatever Comes For Me” in April of 2020, and the rhythmic, percussive “Can You Hear Me” followed in June.
