DIVA (Korean: 디바) was a South Korean hip-hop girl group that debuted in 1997, consisting of Chae Ri-na, Vicky, and Ji Ni. The group gained popularity with their debut album Funky Diva (1997), featuring the hit single "Yeah," which peaked at number 5 on Korean music charts. Their follow-up album, Snappy Diva (1998), saw even greater success with the chart-topping single "Why (Why Do You Call Me?)". After Ji Ni left the group, she was replaced by Lee Min Kyoung. The group’s third album, Millennium (1999), was another hit, selling over 100,000 copies and featuring popular singles "Yo Yo" and "Feel It." In 2000, Ji Ni returned after Chae Ri-na's departure, and DIVA released their fourth album Naughty Diva, continuing their success despite lineup changes. Over the next few years, the group released additional albums, including Perfect! (2001) and Luxury Diva (2002), though their popularity began to decline. DIVA's seventh album, Renaissance (2004), marked a shift in their style but did not achieve the same commercial success as their earlier works. The group disbanded in 2005 following the release of their final album Only Diva, with members focusing on solo careers.
