Although best known as a Japanese film actor, Dori Sakurada is also a musician who has released original music under his own name, as well as the alias "Even." He was born in Tokyo, Japan, on December 7, 1991. Signed by a management company at 11 years old, Sakurada made his theater debut three years later, when he played the leading role in the show Musical: The Prince of Tennis. His appearance in the 2008 film Saraba Kamen Rider Den-O: Final Countdown transformed him into a movie star, and he appeared in many films throughout the next decade, from 2009's Cho Kamen Rider Den-O & Decade Neo Generations: The Onigashima Warship to 2017's Let Me Eat Your Pancreas. In 2018, he starred in Even: Kimi ni Okuru Uta, a film whose characters included the members of a fictional band. Sakurada recorded five songs for the movie's accompanying soundtrack and released them as Even: A Song for You (Complete Edition), effectively making his studio debut under a stage name. One year later, he released Sakura da Festa BEST under his own name. Sakura da Festa BEST's six songs were all written and produced by Sakurada, who returned in 2020 with a handful of original songs that he'd recorded for the soundtrack to the film La. The non-album single "One Word" followed in 2021, and Sakurada earned his first Top 10 hit two years later, when "MIRAI" reached number 9 on the Top 50 Oricon chart during the summer of 2023.
