Edson & Hudson, the Brazilian sertanejo duo formed by brothers Edson and Hudson Cadorini in 1980, have become icons in the genre, known for blending traditional country sounds with rock-inspired guitar riffs. Growing up in a circus family, the duo's father, a clown and acrobat, recognized their musical talent early on, encouraging them to perform together from a young age. Initially performing under the names Pep and Pupi in public squares and rodeos, the brothers soon rebranded as Edson & Hudson. Their big break came in 1991 through a performance on the talent show Raul Gil, where their unique sound caught the attention of audiences. They released their first self-titled album in 1995, but it was their 2002 hit "Azul" that catapulted them to national fame. The duo released 17 albums between 1995 and 2009, selling over 1 million records and headlining major festivals like Barretos. After a brief separation in 2009, they reunited in 2011, releasing the live DVD Faço Um Circo Pra Você in 2013. Subsequent projects include the 2015 album Escândalo de Amor and the 2017 live album Eu e Você de Novo. In 2019, they launched Amor + Buteco, showcasing their enduring appeal and continued evolution in the sertanejo scene. This was followed by the live LPs Boate Azul ao Vivo with Gian & Giovani in 2022 and Foi Deus in 2024.
