Born in Marseille on January 18, 1994, French-Comorian rapper Elams, whose real name is Elamine Ali, made a name for himself on social networks, where his videos racked up several million views. He then appeared on the two volumes of the Black Beathoven mixtape (2015), before being asked by Alonzo to contribute to the latter's mixtape, Capo dei Capi (2015), on the track "Homme à terre". After completing a stint in prison in August 2016, he released the album Je Suis Elams that same year, buoyed by the single "La Frappe", on which Alonzo in turn contributed. After Baltimore and Réussir et Mourir in 2017, Elams released Ce Que l'On Vit (2018), featuring Sofiane, Marwa Loud, RK, Alrima, Naps and KeBlack. The album was reissued the following year, featuring a contribution from Jul on the track "Sortez les bouteilles". In 2021, he invited Vegedream to record a duet entitled "Kodo", which reached No. 195 in the French charts and featured on the album Thug Life, which also featured Rohff, Lynda, Hatik and Hiro. A member of the Marseilles collectives 13'Organisé (2020) and Le Classico Organisé (2021), Elams released the Latin-tinged mixtape Album Gratuit Vol. 2 and Mwanamboka in 2023, which reached No. 7 and featured Soprano, Kofs and Le Rat Luciano, Benab, Ricky Rich and Tajoela.
