Naps

The rapper Naps, Nabil Arlabelek by civil status, was born in Marseille on July 27, 1991. By the age of fifteen, he was writing his first songs, and two years later formed the trio Click 11.43, which released a self-produced mixtape. Naps then went solo, recording back-to-back albums Ma Ville et Ma Vie (No. 166 in France in 2015), Pochon Bleu (No. 11 in 2016, double platinum) and À l'Instinct (No. 4 in 2018, platinum), on his label 13ème Art. The latter album includes two duets with Alonzo ("Dans le block", No. 24) and Soolking ("Favela", No. 21). In 2019, the track "On est fait pour ça" (#2) launched the album of the same name, released on June 28. A year later, Naps returned with the album Carré VIP (no. 3), which featured a number of guest appearances. In addition to Vald, Soolking, Maes and SCH, Ninho sings the duet "6.3 " with Naps, which reaches number one in the French charts. Maintaining a rhythm of releasing an album a year, in April 2021 the rapper released Les Mains Faites pour l'Or, immediately ranked #1 and launched by the single "La Danse des bandits", on which he was backed by SCH. On release, the track reached number nine in the French charts. 2021 saw the release of Best Life, a No. 1 album like its predecessor, featuring the single "Avengers".(No. 12, with contributions from Jul, SCH and Kalif Hardcore). A new series of tracks, including "Vamos" (No. 5), heralded the release of his eighth album, La TN (for Team Naps), which, in addition to SCH and Kalif Hardcore, featured contributions from Dadju, Kaaris, Alonzo, Gazo and Morad, and was released in June 2022. The following year, the rapper returned with the album En Temps Réel, which returned to the top of the best-selling album charts in France. It includes the track "Purple " recorded with Gambi, alongside other collaborations with Gazo, Ninho, Koba LaD, Maes, Kalif Hardcore and Imen Es. Barely a year later, Naps returned with the opus Mec de Cité Simple, which took fourth place in the sales charts and featured several collaborations with Gazo, Jul and Heuss.
