Elderbrook, born Alexander Kotz on December 20, 1992, in London, England, is a British electronic musician known for his vibrant, synth-driven dance music. Kotz began his musical journey in an indie rock band during his teens, where he honed his talents as a guitarist and singer-songwriter. Transitioning through hip-hop experimentation, he ultimately found his niche in electronic music while studying at Bath Spa University. In 2015, Elderbrook made his mark on the music scene with his self-titled debut EP, which gained significant attention for its sonic landscapes. This initial success set the stage for future collaborations, most notably his 2017 hit "Cola" with CamelPhat. The track became a major breakthrough, earning a Grammy nomination, achieving double platinum status, and peaking at number 18 on the UK charts. Continuing to build on his success, Elderbrook released the single "Something About You" with Rudimental in 2019, which was included in his 2020 album Why Do We Shake In The Cold?. This period also saw him expanding his repertoire as a remixer and collaborator, working with artists such as Bob Moses, Emmit Fenn, and Louis The Child on the 2021 EP Innerlight. In 2022, Elderbrook embarked on his next album chapter, dropping "Howl" with Tourist and "Beautiful Morning" ahead of his second album, Little Love, which made its debut in March 2023. After being invited to perform at Coachella in April, 2024, he returned with new track “Glad I Found You” which went to number 38 and featured on June single “Shallow Water.”
