Elephant Kashimashi are a Japanese rock and J-pop band formed in Tokyo in 1981 with singer and guitarist Hiroji Miyamoto, guitarist Toshiyuki Ishimori, bassist Seiji Takamidori and drummer Yoshiyuki Tominaga. Their first single, 'Dede', came out in 1988 and they released many others such as 'Syoko' (1992), 'Yume no kakera' (1998), 'So Many People' (2000), 'Ore no michi' (2003), 'Egao no mirai e' (2008) and 'Itsuka Mita yume o' (2010). They have released more than 20 albums including 'Ai to yume' (1998), 'Kaze' (2004), 'Starting Over' (2008), and 'Rainbow' (2015). Their tracks 'Winding Road' (2011) went to number 28 on Bilboard's Japan Hot 100, 'Daichi No Symphony' (2012) reached number 40 and 'Restart' (2017) peaked at number 29.
