Enzo Enzo

Enzo Enzo came to rock with the group Lili Drop, and scored a hit with "Juste quelqu'un de bien " (1994). Born into a family of Russian origin on August 29, 1959, Körin Ternovtzeff met the singer Olive (born Olivier Caudron), lead singer of the rock band Lili Drop, who hired her as bassist in 1978 and made her name the following year with the song "Sur ma mob". Known as Körin Noviz at the time, she recorded a single, "Je veux jouer à tout " (1982), before Lili Drop split up in 1983. Eager to embark on a new career, she adopted the stage name Enzo Enzo, under which she released the singles "Blanche-Neige" (1984) and "Pacifico " (1988), followed by an untitled debut album in 1990, featuring the song "Les Yeux ouverts", and a tour that took her as far as Japan and Canada. After penning the theme for the film Les Marmottes (1993), Enzo Enzo enjoyed his greatest success with the Kent-penned song "Juste quelqu'un de bien", which reached No. 10 in the Top 50 and was included on the album Deux (1994), before winning a Victoire de la musique award the following year. With a repertoire oscillating between Brazilian influences and jazz, Enzo Enzo produced the album Oui (1997) and performed with Kent in the show Enfin Seuls! which resulted in an album released in 2001. Promoted to the rank of Officier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, Enzo Enzo recorded the albums Le Jour d'â Côté (2003) and Paroli (2004), then teamed up with Romain Didier, Allain Leprest and Jean-Louis Trintignant for Cantate pour un Cœur Bleu, released in 2009. In between, Enzo Enzo turned his attention to children's songs with the album Chansons d'Une Maman (2007), followed by a selection of standards from the silver screen in Clap! (2009), the song album Têtue (2010) and a second children's album, Chansons d'Une Maman pour Culottes Courtes (2011). A new album, Eau-Calme, will be released in 2021.
