Fat Cat

Fat Cat, also known as Defconn Girl, is a South Korean singer born on March 14, 1990 as Kim So Young. She first gained attention after appearing in the music video for rapper Defconn's song "How Rappers Break Up Part 2" and through their live performances together. Fat Cat released her debut single, "Indifferent Love," on September 24, 2011, and made her debut television performance the next day. In November 2011, Fat Cat signed a joint management deal with drama production company Curtain Call Media. She released her second single album, "Is Being Pretty Everything," on January 5, 2012, and promoted it on various Korean music shows. However, on March 11, 2012, Fat Cat was hospitalized due to a kidney disorder causing idiopathic edema, leading to the halt of her promotional activities for "It's Like a Dream."Fat Cat took some time off to recover from her illness and signed a three-year contract with Japanese recording company Victor-JVC and Rainbow Entertainment in October 2012, where she released her first Japanese single, "Make Up," in July 2013 and following with a Japanese album titled Neko Music.
