The Taiwanese pop trio F.I.R. formed in 2004 when producer and keyboard player Ian invited guitarist Real and female singer Faye The group scored a hit early with “Lydia”, which gained popularity as the theme song of a successful television program. Their self-titled debut album, which included “Lydia”, went to number 1 and began a four year reign for F.I.R. as one of the most successful and award-winning musical acts of their era. 2005’s Unlimited and 2006’s Flight Tribe also topped the album chart as the band collected numerous Best Group, Best New Artist, and Best Song awards from multiple industry and radio institutions. 2007’s Love, Dive, fell one spot short of the top, but 2009’s Let’s Smile and 2011’s Atlantis both returned the threesome to number 1. 2017’s Flying Tribe would be their last album with Faye as the lead singer as she left the label and the group for a solo career in 2018. The band continued on with new lead singer Lydia and released Re: Youth in 2019.
