Born in Dieppe in 1991, Flora Fishbach, or simply Fishbach under her artist name, dropped out of school before completing her A-levels and worked at various odd jobs before turning to music. After experimenting with a duo under the name Most Agadn't, she went solo and began performing in the early 2010s. Selected for the InRocKs festival in 2015, the singer, who opts for an electro-pop and rock style in French, released her homonymous debut EP at the same time. In May of the following year, she won the Printemps de Bourges prize for her performance at the festival, and went on to prepare her debut album with her live musicians. The album, entitled À Ta Merci, was released in February 2017 to unanimous critical acclaim. It includes the tracks that made her a household name, such as "Mortel", "Y crois-tu " and "Un autre que moi".
