Jade Godin and Zach Ouimet co-founded the Canadian country duo Five Roses in 2016. Based in Quebec, the two musicians firs crossed paths at a barbershop where Godin worked and began making music shortly thereafter, modeling their sound after harmony-driven acts like Little Big Town and Lady A. Five Roses began building an audience after releasing acoustic covers of Celine Dion's "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" and the Backstreet Boys' "As Long As You Love Me" in 2017, then returned in 2018 with a self-titled EP that introduced the band's original material. A number of singles followed throughout the subsequent years, with songs like "New Old Times" and "Our Days Are Numbered" showcasing Five Roses' transformation into a polished, punchy country duo. Despite taking the bulk of their sonic cues from Nashville-based artists, Godin and Ouimet also remained proud of their roots in Quebec, even recording unique versions of "To The Moon and Back" and "Feel Good" in French. Both of those songs were originally released in 2022, then reappeared one year later on Five Roses' first full-length album, Jukebox Vibrations. The album also featured previously released singles like "Might As Well Be Me," which reached number 34 on Canada's Top 50 Country Songs chart in 2021, and "Sweetheart of Summer," which hit number 44 on the same chart in early 2023. A third single, "Livin' in a Country Song," debuted at number 48 on Top 50 Country Songs, giving Five Roses three consecutive hits on the Canadian chart.
