Born on August 16, 1982 in Tirana, Albania, Florjan Mumajesi is known mononymously as Flori, an award-winning dance-pop singer-songwriter, producer, composer and director. Having started out as a singer with vocal trio The Dreams in 1998, Flori launched his solo career in 2002 after entering Albania's annual music competition Kënga Magjike. He garnered praise for his self-penned compositions, written for himself as well as other artists, and this set the stage for his subsequent success. Flori made his debut on leading music channel Bulgarian Balkanika TV in 2009, and that year picked up several nominations at the Balkan Music Awards, including the Best Song From Albania award for his 2009 single "Playback." The following year, he received another nod at the ceremony for his "Origjinale" composition, recorded by Aurela Gaçe. Flori's first solo album arrived in 2011, Detaj, from which he released the collaborative single "Tequila Vava" with Albatrit Muçiqi. He went on to churn out a string of homegrown hits that melded pop with R&B and dance music. Among these were "Tallava," (2011) and "Me Zemër," (2012), 2016's "Beautiful" featuring Ledri Vula, for which he scored his first Number 1 in Albania, and second chart-topping single, "Mori," featuring Ghetto Geasy & Bruno. In 2020, Flori went to Number 21 in Albania with "Dhemb," and he has over the years notched up a trove of guest spots, including an appearance on Arilena Ara's "Doja" in 2019 and on 2021 bop "Nina," for which he teamed up with Bruno and Klajdi Haruni.
