Frank Lars (* 1963) is a pop singer from Germany. He actually began his career as Frank Harald Stelzer in the late 1990s. His talent was discovered by the two pop producers Johan Daansen and Harald Steinhauer. Together with him, Frank Lars released the single "Warum heut Nacht" in 1996. His debut album Endlich is released in 1999. This was followed by a successful phase for the pop singer with regular appearances on TV shows such as ZDF-Fernsehgarten, Immer wieder sonntags and Ballermann Fete. Frank Lars writes many of his songs himself in his own recording studio. His single "Sowas von egal" became a party hit in 2000. This is followed by the albums Treffer (2000), Das Beste - nur für euch (2002), Siegertyp (2009) and Zum Glück gefunden (2012). He then concentrated more on his work as a composer for other pop stars. As early as 2008, he celebrated success for the song "Wenn du diesen Brief liest ...", written for Anna Katharina Stoll. The single reached number 93 in the German charts. In the same year, his song "Du hast gewärmt wie alter Whisky", written for Marco Kloss, reached number 87 in Germany. In the 2010s, Frank Lars worked successfully with the Amigos, Jürgen Drews, Olaf der Flipper and Christian Anders. In 2021, Frank Lars himself returns to the pop stage. His best-of album Auf Liebe gesetzt - Meine grösste Erfolge und neue Hits reaches number 27 in the German charts. In July 2024, Frank Lars releases a new studio album, Einfach nur Magie, after more than ten years. The pop singer makes it into the German top 10 at number 10.
