Gabi Hartmann

Gabrielle Hartmann, known as Gabi Hartmann, was born in Paris on March 29, 1991. As a teenager, she discovered a wide variety of musical styles, and her taste for jazz and world music formed the basis of her inspiration as a singer. After studying classical piano from the age of fourteen, she went on to study at the Schola Cantorum and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, where she specialized in jazz. At the same time, she began composing, moving to Brazil and then London to study ethnomusicology. In 2021, she released her first EP, produced by Jerry Harris, followed by her homonymous debut album, released in 2023, mixing jazz, folk and bossa nova in French, English and Portuguese. This album topped the French jazz charts and enabled the singer to perform in Europe and Japan. In 2025, La Femme aux Yeux de Sel (The Salt-Eyed Woman), a conceptual and initiatory album featuring Laurent Bardainne, Naïssam Jalal and Oracle Sisters, once again reached No.1 in the French jazz charts and No.146 in the SNEP general sales chart.
