Hong Si-young (January 24, 1991) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper who performs under the stage name Giriboy. Born in the city of Seoul, he kicked off his music career in 2011 with the single “You Look So Good to Me,” released via rapper Swings’ Just Music label. Mainly composed of material he had been working on since his high school days, his debut EP Fatal Album saw the light in 2012, followed by a second volume later that year. In 2014, Giriboy raised his public profile by participating in the talent competition series Show Me the Money, cracked the Top 10 of the Gaon Digital Chart for the first time ever with the NS Yoon-G collaboration “Fluttering Feelings,” and issued his studio debut Sensual Album. In the subsequent years, Giriboy continued to release music at a prolific rate and established himself as a major player in the K-pop industry with titles like Sexual Perceptions (2015), Science Fiction Music (2018), and Avante (2021), all of which had a strong chart performance in South Korea. “One Snowy Day,” his first single of 2022, peaked at Number 66 on the Gaon Singles Chart.
