Thomas George Stell (born in 1991 in Sydney, Australia), known as Golden Features, is an Australian house/dance DJ and producer. Wearing a golden mask to preserve his anonymity, he released a four-track self-titled EP in February 2014, revealing his name shortly after, due to increasing focus on the artist’s identity rather than his music. In 2014, he produced two remixes, including The Presets’ “No Fun” in August 2014 followed by “Tell Me” featuring Nicole Millar, reaching number 7 on the ARIA Hitseekers Singles charts. Golden Features’ second EP, XXIV was received with critical acclaim, with its lead single “No One” featuring Thelma Plum, making the 2015 Triple J Hottest 100, followed by “Wolfie” featuring Julia Stone, making the list the following year. After touring the U.S in 2017, Golden Features released his debut album Sect on July 26, 2018, which reached number 11 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and named as Triple J feature album of the week with second single “Worship” certified gold. After performing at Coachella, he collaborated with U.S electronic music duo Odesza on Bronson, a ten-track album that debuted at number 5 on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart as well as 22 on the ARIA Albums Chart. In 2022, Golden Features embarked on another U.S tour, after releasing singles “Touch” and “Vigil” in June and September respectively, contributing to a catalogue that has amassed over 120 million streams worldwide.
