Goulam is a Franco-Comorian artist, born in 1991 on the island of Anjouan in the Comoros. Born into a family of musicians, he learned to play the piano as a child before perfecting his guitar and drums. In 2007, he moved to France to study computer science. At the same time, he launched his musical career, releasing Entre Deux avec Grezou in 2011, followed by Histoire de Famille in 2013. In 2015, he explores Afrobeat and reggae sounds with the Retour aux sources EP. His career takes a turn in 2020 with the single On s'en ira, which goes viral and surpasses 30 million views. This success was followed by Pour toujours. In 2023, he was crowned best male artist at the Comores Music Awards. Initially influenced by reggae and afrobeat, Goulam evolves towards R&B and urban pop, always integrating Afro sounds at the heart of his musical identity.
