Ha Dong Qn is a South Korean vocalist who performed with the K-pop boy bands 7Dayz and Wanted during the early 2000s, then transformed himself into a successful solo artist with the release of 2006's Stand Alone. Born as "Ha Dong-kyun" on June 28, 1980, he joined 7Dayz in 2002. The group's existence proved to be short-lived, and Ha Dong Qn joined another group, Wanted, two years later. Wanted's debut album, Like the First, appeared during the summer of 2004 and climbed to Number 12 on the Gaon Album Chart, earning the young vocalists a nomination at that year's Mnet Asian Music Awards for "Best New Group." Although Ha Dong Qn remained in Wanted's lineup until 2012, he also launched a concurrent solo career with Stand Alone. Released in 2006, the album peaked at Number 9 in South Korea. Following the release of another Wanted record, 7 Dayz & Wanted, in 2007, Ha Dong Qn returned to his solo career with Another Corner, which hit Number 4 in 2008. Wanted released one final album, Vintage, in January 2012, and Ha Dong Qn returned to the Gaon charts with a solo EP, Mark, that December. The EP's lead single, "From Mark," became a Top 20 hit in South Korea. Follow-up EPs like 2014's Word and 2017's Polygon also cracked the Top 20, and Ha Dong Qn capitalized on the success by appearing on a number of film and television soundtracks, contributing "I Will Be Waiting" to The Princess' Man and singing "Set Me Free" for the police drama Awaken.
