Known for their poetic lyricism and vibrant live shows, Canadian alternative rockers Hotel Mira first found fame performing as JPNSGRLS in the early 2010s. Founded in the Greater Vancouver area by high school friends Charlie Kerr (vocals) and Oliver Mann (guitar) in 2007, the group's lineup was completed with the addition of bassist Christopher McClelland and drummer Graham Serl. The band made its official debut in 2013 with The Sharkweek EP and went on to achieve critical acclaim with albums such as Circulation (2014) and Divorce (2016). In 2018, Charlie Kerr (the only remaining founding member of the band) retired the JPNSGRLS moniker and began performing with a new group of musicians under the name Hotel Mira, releasing an eponymous EP in August of that year. Perfectionism, the group's first full-length, arrived in 2020 and produced the hit single "This Could Be It For Me," which peaked at Number 5 on Billboard Canada's Modern Rock chart. In 2022, their single "Fever Pitch" entered the Canadian Rock Top 50 at Number 43.
