Hugo TSR

Hugo TSR was born on January 18, 1985, under the name Hugo Jehl, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, with a dual Alsatian and Japanese culture. Fascinated by hip-hop culture, he became a graffiti artist and was gradually drawn to music. He tried to break through with the TSR Crew collective, which he founded in 1999 alongside Vin7, Omry, Kayzo and Nero. With the group, he released four albums between 2004 and 2015. However, it was under the pseudonym Hugo TSR (which he preferred to Hugo Boss, used for a time) that he released his very first album, La Bombe H, in 2005. Three years later, he returned with Flaque de Samples, followed in 2009 with the mixtape La Salle d'Attente, and in 2012 with the album Fenêtre sur Rue , which includes the title track. It was another five years before Hugo TSR made a comeback with Tant Qu'on Est Là, an album chronicling his daily life. Preceded by the singles "Périmètre" and "Senseï", the album Une Vie et Quelques was released in 2021. In December 2023, Hugo TSR released a nine-track EP entitled Jeudi, which recounts the daily life of a train driver, and climbed the hexagonal charts to number 21. It serves as a transitional album before the release of a new studio album, La Pluie (No. 11 in France), of which he delivers a first extract with the title track. The album features numerous collaborations, with guest appearances by L'Indis, Elazra, Loko, Swift Guad, Anraye, Noss and Ego.
