Hyukoh

Hyukoh is an indie rock band from South Korea named after its lead singer, Oh Hyuk. They came to public prominence with an appearance on the Infinite Challenge TV variety show in 2015, a year after their formation in Seoul. This followed an Instagram shout-out by Epik High's Tablo, who signed the band to this new HIGHGRIND label. Home of music behemoths like Psy and BIGBANG, HIGHGRIND began releasing a series of EPs and LPs for the band, which each release named after the ages of the band members at the time of recording. These included 20, 22, 23, and 24, with 2020's Through Love marking the group's first deviation from the formula. Meanwhile, Hyukoh continued to enjoy chart success, reaching Number 1 on the Gaon Chart with songs like "Wi Ing Wi Ing" and "Comes and Goes." Another album, AAA, was released in 2024, charting at number 36 in South Korea and earning a minor radio hit with "Young Man."
