I See Stars was formed by vocalist Devin Oliver when he, his brother Andrew and their friends Jeff and Brent together realised their love of electronic music. Their debut album, 3-D, which was released in 2009, although not commercially successful did help in promoting their name and music within the electronic world. Their second album, The End Of The World Party, did slightly better, but their big break came with their third album, Digital Renegade, which saw the band showing off their change in musical direction. Featuring guest vocalist Danny Worsnop from the metalcore band Asking Alexandria, the album showed the industry that they were not just electronics but could also master metal. It reached number 45 in the Billboard Top 200 and cemented their place and reputation in the business. In 2011 the band made their television debut when they were asked to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live; they performed Glow and What This Means To Me. The band released New Demons in 2013 which further developed their new sound. 2016 saw the release of their fifth album, Treehouse.
