Jalil

The German rapper Jalil, formerly better known as Reason, was born on March 13, 1987 in West Berlin. He appeared for the first time in 2004 on the sampler Big Bud Bonzen, Cashflow, Wild Out and One Good Reason from Sha-Karl's label Big Bud Records. Further guest contributions on albums by Sha-Karl and Sady K followed before he released his first solo album Straßenpolitik for free download on the Internet in 2008. In the same year, he became known to a wider audience through his guest contribution to the track "Mehr Kohle" by Frank White and Godsilla. in 2010, Jalil's mixtape Weiße Jungs bringen's nicht is also released for free download. In January 2012, he no longer released his EP Sinneswandel under the name Reason, instead using the stage name Jalil. After releasing his album Radikal in 2014, his 2015 LP Das Leben hat kein Air System reached number 15 in the German charts. The collabo album Epic, on which Jalil collaborates with Fler, enters the German album charts at number 1 in 2017. On August 10, 2018, Jalil released his third solo album Black Panther, which reached number 7 in the German charts. in 2021, his fourth solo album Reset fails to chart in the German-speaking charts.
