Jamie Kimett is Scottish singer and songwriter who was brought up in Kilmarnock in Ayrshire and grew up with strong Christian beliefs. He harboured ambitions of becoming a pastor but during the course of his religious studies he had a change of heart and relocated to Nashville to pursue a career in music. After moving to the States it wasn't long before he came to the attention of Sony's Christian music specialists, Provident Label Group, who signed the young Scot and helped launch his career as a faith music artist. Kimett's songwriting talents have brought him recognition in the USA and in 2016 he co-wrote a number of tracks with Toto's keyboard player Steve Porcara on his album 'Someday/Somehow' and made a guest appearance as a musician on a couple of the tracks. Kimett's career as a solo artist began with the release of his debut single 'Prize Worth Fighting For' which reached number six in Billboard's Christian Chart in 2018.
