The singer Jeanette Biedermann was one of the most successful artists to emerge onto the German music scene during the early 2000s. With record sales of more than ten million units her popularity has seen her become one of Germany's most recognisable musical exports. She began her career as a mainstream pop singer and released two albums, 'Enjoy' in 2000 and 'Delicious' in 2001. The albums garnered numerous nominations for industry awards and established her credentials as an up-and-coming performer, but she decided to adopt a more rock-orientated sound for her next album 'Rock My Life' which peaked at number seven in the charts. After a short career hiatus in 2006 the singer had a comeback in 2008 with yet another musical style - this time it was electronic pop with album 'Undress to the Beat' produced in collaboration with well known Scandinavian artists Carl Falk and Thomas Troelsen. She has risen to become an influential figure in German pop music and often appears on TV talent shows. She still pursues a solo career and in 2019 released the single 'Wie Ein Offenes Buch'.
