Composer and jazz pianist Jean-Marie Machado formed his first trio in 1986 with Louis and François Moutin, then Vibracordes, a variable-geometry ensemble featuring the finest French jazz musicians. After the French Piano Trio episode with Martial Solal in 1998, the pianist went on to form the Lyrisme Quartet, before recording the Fado-focused double album Soeurs de Sang, solo and trio (2007). In the same spirit asAndaloucia (2005), Fiesta Nocturna and La Fête à Bobigny are released with the nonet Danzas. In 2011, Jean-Marie Machado reunites with poet-singer Antonio Placer in Republicalma.
