Jenyer is a South Korean singer, rapper, and songwriter. She was born Jeon Ji-yoon on October 15, 1990, in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. After attending Kyung Hee University and majoring in Post Modern Music, she debuted professionally as a member of the girl group 4Minute in 2009, with their single "Hot Issue." Her early career also included collaborations with other artists, such as Woo Yi-kyung and Lee Hyo-ri. In 2011, she participated in the soundtrack of My Princess with the song "Oasis" and featured in Hyuna's Bubble Pop! album with the track "Downtown." In June 2011, Jenyer joined the competitive singing show Immortal Songs 2 and won alongside DJ Koo with the song "I (Nan)" by Clon. In 2013, she formed the subunit 2Yoon with bandmate Gayoon, debuting with the EP Harvest Moon and its lead single "24/7." She also ventured into acting, debuting in the web drama Dreaming CEO in 2014. After 4Minute disbanded in June 2016, Jenyer signed with JS E&M and prepared for her solo career. She released the single album Day and Night (2016), featuring the track "I Do." She continued her solo activities, releasing the collaboration single "Cliché" with Samuel Seo in March 2017. In 2019, Jenyer released the EP The Moment I Loved. Since then, she has served as the vocalist for the band Prsnt with DJ Allzwell and producer mOnSteR nO.9. She released several singles, including "Bad" featuring KIMMUSEUM in 2020 and "Soop" featuring Gayoon in 2021.
