Jing Chang – born Zhāng Yúnjīng on September 6, 1983 in Taipei, Taiwan – is a rock singer, songwriter and musician. She first came to prominence as the winner of the first season of the televised Taiwanese talent competition Super Idol in 2007. She then signed a deal with the Gold Typhoon label. Her first release was 2008’s The Power of Rain EP, which she recorded with her band Pensauce. Chang released her first album, Never Before, in 2009. The album reached the Number 1 position on the local music charts. The album’s continued success - with songs like “Addicted to You” and “Let You Go” - made Chang one of the fastest rising stars in the region. Never Before reached Number 1 on G-Music’s Mandarin and Combo charts, Five Music Record Sales Chart, and others. Her sophomore album, The Opposite Me, was released in 2010. She collaborated with Taiwanese boyband Lollipop on the single “Loyalty” before releasing the 2011 EP Our Valentine. In 2012, she released her third album Little Girl. During her career, she received many awards including honors from Hong Kong TVB8 Awards, Metro Radio Mandarin Music Awards, Metro Radio Hits Awards and more.
