Whether you idolize him or loathe him, Joey Starr is an artist who leaves no one indifferent. Born Didier Morville in Saint-Denis in 1967, this pioneering member of the NTM group left an indelible musical mark on French rap. After the "split", his harsh, ferocious voice and charisma continue to reign over French rap, through numerous collaborations and the label and collective B.O.S.S., of which he is the founder. Self-proclaimed the "Jaguarr", he bounced back once again in 2011 with a highly acclaimed role in his partner Maïwenn Le Besco's film Polisse, then on the album Egomaniac. After other film roles, the bad boy of French rap returned in 2015, with his accomplice Nathy, for a third album with a sound system flavour, Caribbean Dandee.
