John Splithoff

A native of Chicago, Illinois, where he was born in 1990, John Splithoff is an American soul-influenced singer-songwriter. First appearing in 2013, he released the self-produced EP The Move, followed by a handful of singles including 2016's "Sing to You" and "Show Me", featuring Madison Ryann Ward, both of which were included on the follow-up EP Make It Happen (2018), expanded to ten tracks on its reissue. From the dance-oriented pop of the first EP, John Splithoff reveals his taste for retro soul through his new productions. The New York-based artist continues, after a collaboration with Armando Young on "Stepping Stone", with the EP Go Somewhere (2020) and a Christmas single featuring his version of "I'll Be Home for Christmas". In 2021, he signed the tracks "Steady" and "Hold On to Me", the first extracts from All In, an album expanded from eleven to eighteen tracks with the acoustic versions added to its deluxe version. New collaborations followed, with Great Good Fine OK, Yonas and Melissa Polinar, before the releases of "Somewhere in New York" (2022), "Blame" and "Blue Christmas" (2023), then "Way Back" (2024). In 2025, he achieves his first chart-topping title with "Tangled", coupled with "Magenta".
