Josie Dunne was born in Chicago to an artistic and creative family of actors, dancers, artists and graphic designers. She was interested in music from a very early age, taking piano and singing lessons and teaching herself the guitar. She studied composition in Nashville and developed her own brand of fun-loving pop. Her debut EP 'To Be a Little Fish' in 2018 embraced her Motown influences mixed with a modern twist. It contained singles 'Old School' and 'Good Boys' which were both released in 2018 and reached over a million streams online. After its release, Dunne spent some time touring with Julia Michaels and Ben Rector. In 2019 she released the singles 'Mute', 'Same' and 'Ooh La La'.
