Joyce Santana

Joyce Santana, born Joyce Fransue Santana Febres, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton artist celebrated for his raw, introspective lyrics and contributions to the new wave of urban music. Raised in a strict household where he was discouraged from using profane language, Joyce Santana first expressed himself by scribbling down words he couldn’t say aloud, ultimately developing a knack for songwriting that allowed him to channel his emotions. At thirteen, he began recording with a basic computer microphone, and by 2015, he launched his solo career with the debut album Luz en la Oscuridad, which brought him notable recognition. His music, including tracks like "Me siento bien," "Paradigma," and "Malas mañas," resonated with Puerto Rican audiences by combining classic reggaeton beats with social and political commentary, often referencing the island's struggles and his own experiences. In 2019, Santana released the popular singles "Sola," "Ninguno como yo," and "Complacerte," followed by "No le hablen de amor" in 2020, which amassed over a million views shortly after its release. Después Siempre Es Tarde, his second full-length album, arrived in 2022 and featured contributions from Totoy el Frío, YOVNGCHIMI, Young Miko, and Villano Antillano. 2024 saw the release of the collaborative single "Ferxxoko" with Feid.
