Julian Perretta is an English singer-songwriter and producer born in London in 1989. He first rose to prominence with the 2010 single 'Wonder Why' and from there his popularity began to take off, culminating in 2016 when he had a series of hits including 'Miracle' which reached number one in 13 countries. Perretta began his musical career working in bars and clubs around London, augmenting his income by working in a coffee shop. His first break came in 2008 when he was invited to open for Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse during a European tour. Although Perratta is based in the UK he has always enjoyed more success on mainland Europe than in his home country; his two studio albums to date, 'Stitch me Up' in 2010 and 'Karma' in 2016, both sold more abroad than in the UK. The sporadic release of material and the large time gap between his debut album and the follow-up is explained by the fact that in addition to his solo career Perretta is a successful songwriter and has written songs for a number of major recording artists.
