Nick Jonas is an American singer-songwriter who gained fame with his older siblings Joe and Kevin as the Jonas Brothers topping the Billboard 200 and having 17 songs on the Hot 100 including eight in the top 20. Born in Dallas, Texas on September 16, 1992, Nick Jonas began acting as a child and with his brothers he had success with a TV series on the Disney Channel and the movies Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010). After a brief time fronting the soul-inflected band Nick Jonas and the Administration, he released a self-titled album in 2014, which went to Number 6 on the Billboard 200 and number 16 on the UK Albums Chart. His 2016 album Last Year Was Complicated peaked at Number 2. His 2015 single “Jealous” reached Number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and went to Number 7 on Billboard's Hot 100. “Chains” (2015) reached Number 13 on the Hot 100 and “Close” (2016) peaked at Number 14. He has appeared in different roles in the stage musical Les Misérables on Broadway, in the West End, and at London's O2 Arena in the 25th anniversary production. He performed in the musical Hairspray at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles in 2010 and had the lead in the short-lived ABC series Mr. Sunshine (2011). After a few years apart, the Jonas Brothers reunited for a new album in 2019, the same year Nick Jonas became a coach on the reality singing competition The Voice. He returned to a solo career with 2021’s Spaceman. He is a prominent spokesman on diabetes as he was diagnosed with the disorder himself while in his teens.
