Juliette Armanet was born in Lille and grew up in the Paris suburbs. Like her parents, she was passionate about the piano, listening to an enormous amount of music and taking up the instrument herself, studying classical piano before dropping out at the age of eleven, a decision she later admitted she regretted. But in her teens, she discovered albums by VĂ©ronique Sanson, William Sheller, Alain Bashung, Barbara and Alain Souchon. Something clicked, and the young girl soon decided to compose her own songs. Blending chanson with electro, she made a name for herself back in 2014, when she had meanwhile embraced a career in journalism, with a first track that quickly caught the attention of professionals, "L'Amour en solitaire". Logically, a four-track EP followed in 2014, entitled Cavalier Seule, preceding an album announced for 2017.
