Kang Hyung-ho (Korean: 강형호; born March 8, 1988), also known by his stage name PITTA (stylized in all caps), is a South Korean singer. Formerly a chemical engineer, Kang rose to fame after participating in the singing competition Phantom Singer 2. Despite having no formal training in the arts, he impressed audiences by performing both soprano and tenor parts of Broadway hit “The Phantom of the Opera” in a duet with himself. Before the final of Phantom Singer 2, Kang was grouped with Bae Doo-hoon, Cho Min-kyu, and Ko Woo-rim to form Forestella. They won the competition and made their debut on March 14, 2018. In October 2020, Kang made his solo debut with the digital single "Universe" under the stage name PITTA. In November 2021, he released his first non-single solo project, the self-composed extended play ID: PITTA, which reached number 26 on the charts. In April 2023, he released his debut studio album Be Free, which charted at number 36. In May 2024, he released his second EP, New Normal Life, featuring the single "G.T.H.O.," which peaked at number 31.
